Grieving - God's Pathway to Healing Purchase this cd
In John 16:20 Jesus said “you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve but your grief will be turned into joy.” (New King James Bible)
Grief is the healthy, God-given response to loss.
Most of us think of grieving as only associated with the death of a loved one or a friend. Yet, loss is very much a part of life and comes in many forms other that death. You may be struggling with the loss of:
A parent
A child
The loss of a job
Your health
Your marriage
Your youth
Your own hopes and dreams.
Losses come in many shapes and sizes and need to be grieved as they occur.
Learn what the stages of grief are and how to process through each one of them.
Denial – “is always necessary to help us ease into grief without being crushed by it. But long-term denial is deadly.”
Anger – “is a normal response in grieving. We get angry at God, ourselves, people, and the circumstances.”
Bargaining – “is the stage that produces much guilt.” We think, “if only I’d done things differently.”
Depression – “is an intense feeling of sorrow. Life has changed and will not be the same as before.” We may believe we need to stay involved with the pain to keep it alive.
Acceptance – “comes as we work through the previous four stages and deal with the overwhelming loss and eventually accept it, adapt to it and actively participate in life again.”
This series carries a rich anointing to bring inner healing, peace, and resolve to the losses we’ve all experienced throughout life. Listen and be set free!
